01How new members start
The 4-Week
Experience
This is how every new member gets going at Three State, not a training course for coaches. It's a chance to see how we coach, meet the team, and get a proper feel for the place, with enough structure over four weeks to know if it's right for you.

Inside a session
Your starting point
A one-to-one assessment, plus an introduction to how we approach training and nutrition, starting from wherever you're at right now.
Find your groove
Small group personal training sessions, booked around your week. You get close coaching and clear progression, plus good company along the way.
Strength & structure
Build strength, confidence, and a routine that actually holds up once real life gets in the way.
02Why small group works
Personal attention. Group energy.
Why we train
We don't train people for the mirrors, there aren't any here, and ego isn't the point. We train for the school run, for taking the stairs two at a time, for the sea swim on Christmas morning. We train for turning 60 and lifting more than you did at 40. In other words, for real life.03Your third space
A place outside of home and work
where you can move, connect, and just be.
We think exercise should be about more than reps and results. Done well, it gives you structure and connection, and something steady to hold onto when life feels busy or uncertain. It helps you feel better physically, mentally and emotionally, not just look different.

Don't take our word for it

“Honestly, this gym has changed my life so much for the better and given me confidence back that I thought I'd lost forever. You feel part of a very welcoming community.”
“The trainers are very thorough, a lot of personal attention and helpful feedback. They are strict about keeping the ratio to a maximum of 6 clients to 1 trainer, and the hour-long classes mean 25% more work than anywhere else.”
“The small group format means you get plenty of attention and guidance while still enjoying the motivation of training with others, and maybe a few chats and a bit of gossip too!”
“Great gym, great trainers and an amazing community. My first session started and ended with friendly and sweaty faces. Can't recommend enough!”
“By far the best and most enjoyable gym experience I have had. A friendly environment with outstanding coaches, well-planned classes and careful attention to detail given to each member.”
“The classes are varied and challenging, and constructed so that you receive individual attention from the coaches. I have become a lot stronger, in a very safe environment which allows me to push myself beyond what I thought possible.”
05After training
The work is done.
Now you recover.
Just off the gym floor there's a nine-person outdoor sauna, one cold plunge, and a rain shower. Some members go straight from training into the heat and cold before heading home, and it's become part of the routine for a good few of them. The sauna is available as an add-on, depending on which membership package suits you best, so it's worth asking about when you're working out what's right for you.
